Su Clark Clinical Canine Massage

RESULTS YOU CAN SEE AND YOUR DOG CAN FEEL

Clinical Canine Massage is a hands-on, non-invasive therapy that helps with rehabilitation of muscular injuries and soft tissue dysfunction which is typically seen in dogs as lameness, limping, stiffness and slowing down. This therapy is also used to manage chronic pain caused by orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis, hip/elbow dysplasia, and spondylosis.

A combination of techniques including Swedish, Deep Tissue and Remedial Sports Massage together with Myofascial Releases and the bespoke Lenton Method® are used to address the specific issues of each dog.

Clinical Canine Massage is suitable for all dogs of all ages, and is particularly beneficial for senior and sporting dogs with improvements seen in gait, posture, behaviour and performance, as well as in the dog’s normal daily activities.

Testimonials

Stanley had slowed down considerably on walks and struggles going up stairs due to back leg stiffness. He was unsure about massage at first since he isn’t keen on being touched much but he soon relaxed and appeared happy to have treatment, even falling asleep during it more than once! Su was brilliant. She was calm, empathetic towards Stan and very careful and considered. She took into account if Stan appeared uncomfortable and adjusted accordingly. She explained everything to me about what she was doing and why.

I felt that Stan really benefited from his treatments and I would definitely recommend Canine Massage, and especially Su!

Dylan is an older dog who is going blind and struggles with stairs and to walk at times. Some days are better than others. Su took it really slowly and reassured him throughout. He gradually relaxed and allowed her to use different treatment positions. He even appeared to be enjoying it. Su set the environment well for him with comfortable matting and relaxing music frequencies. She also has a very soft calm approach with her voice and slow reassuring movements during treatment. After the first session Dylan suddenly ran up the stairs to our first floor - this is something he hasn’t done for over a year, I was shocked! I also noticed after each session he started running on our walks together more often and a bit faster. I think the treatment is really worthwhile.

Alfie struggled with climbing stairs, he had stiffness when standing and after long walks. Following the second treatment when Su concentrated on his neck, shoulders and front legs Alfie’s movement was much freer and he climbed onto the sofa without help. After the final treatment he went up the stairs for a cheeky nap on the bed which he hasn’t been able to do for quite some time. After Alfie’s massage treatments my feelings are very positive and I would recommend Canine Massage particularly if your dog is recovering from injury.

Su was excellent, she was empathetic and kind taking her time to get to know Bailey. After the second session Bailey was much happier and confident. He did zoomies around the house for the first time since his leg injury around 1 year ago. I am very happy with Bailey’s treatment and definitely would recommend Canine Massage Therapy to friends and family.
